Creating and Commercializing New Technologies
to Launch New Companies and Grow Employment
The Water Equipment and Policy Center (WEP)
is the research engine that drives innovation in North America's water industry. Located in Milwaukee, the crossroad of Wisconsin's water hub, WEP serves as a catalyst for synergizing the region's assets to create the next generation of products and processes and advance the water industry.
Achievements
During the past decade, WEP generated nearly $9 million for freshwater technology and policy research.
To promote commercialization WEP researchers embraced rigorous project management practice and adopted NASA’s Technology Readiness Level (TRL) model.
