Hector Bravo, PhD, PE – I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Cordoba - Argentina, a MS in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, and a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa, where I did postdoctoral work at IIHR – Hydroscience & Engineering. Most of my recent research has been on hydrodynamic modeling for the Laurentian Great Lakes, and I have conducted research on the transport of pollutants and heat in surface water and groundwater, two-phase flows, and spectral analysis of hydrologic time series and climate variability. My professional experience includes planning, design and construction of hydroelectric projects, and my research interests extend to most natural and man-made water flows.
